Hiking from Merzouga to Zagora
Day 1: Merzouga to Taouz
Your hiking adventure begins in Merzouga, a small village on the edge of the Sahara Desert. As you set out, you’ll be greeted by the mesmerizing sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Hike through the dunes to reach the charming village of Taouz. Along the way, you’ll witness the ever-changing colors of the desert as the sun sets.
Day 2: Taouz to Ouzina
From Taouz, continue your hike through the desert terrain, passing through arid landscapes and the occasional desert oasis. You’ll eventually reach the village of Ouzina, where you can rest and interact with the locals, learning about their way of life in this harsh environment.
Day 3: Ouzina to Ramlia
The next leg of your journey takes you to the remote village of Ramlia. As you hike through the desert, you’ll encounter vast expanses of sand and rocky terrain. Ramlia is a peaceful oasis in the midst of the Sahara, providing a tranquil place to spend the night.
Day 4: Ramlia to Sidi Ali

Day 5: Sidi Ali to Agoult

Day 6: Agoult to Ifraouene n'Naouene
Continue your journey towards Ifraouene n’Naouene, hiking through the desert landscape dotted with small settlements. This region is known for its unique geological formations, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore the natural wonders along the way.
Day 7: Ifraouene n'Naouene to Zagora
Your final destination is Zagora, a town located at the gateway to the Sahara Desert. As you hike towards Zagora, the desert will gradually transition into a more arid and rocky terrain. Upon reaching Zagora, you can relax, reflect on your incredible journey, and explore the town’s vibrant culture.
